Poker Dream Game

Animation / Motion Graphic, Gaming Design, Web App/ Mobile App

Project details

Description

This a gaming web app project that I need to manage from the start to the end, at Sky Cover Technology Limited. I started by listening to the client's story and discussing the strategy, overall concept, gaming structure, user flow and visual style with them. Then I did the references research and gathered the required data to make the right solution for the client.

After decision-making, I built up the gaming background, designed the wireframe and prototyping, created the visual elements and animation elements, also prepared the marketing materials, and did a lot of user testing for the game.

The challenges were I put a lot of effort into communicating with the clients, finding out what kind of style was more suitable for their market position, and keep solving the function problems with the programmers to meet the client's requirements.

STYLE SELECTION

DEMO 1

DEMO 2

After I listened to the client’s story and background, I did some research and gathered the types which were popular in the metaverse market. Then I designed the UI demos and provided three styles of options for the client to choose from. The brand strategy’s attributes were professional and gorgeous, the client wanted to have fancy neon light elements with clear layout and buttons, so we decided to use Demo2. Then I discussed more details with them and started the whole progress, like building user flow, wireframe, prototype, visual design and animation effects.

USER FLOW :

REVISIONS

In the first attempt, the client thought that the design is too colourful, the buttons are not obvious enough, and some actions are not user-friendly, so I redesigned the layout and the colour theme.

I talked to the user and paid attention to the areas or steps within their journey to where they may provide some feedback or criticism.

GAME ROOM

I hid most of the buttons and added the background for the table to clear the surface of the game room and let the player see other players’ actions immediately and clearly. The short cut button would show up when the player needs to do a decision.

I changed all the visual elements and interface design to meet up the client’s requirements.

I revised the colour style from purple to dark grey mode.

I changed to use only one simple symbol for players to select the one who receives the emoji,

to avoid blocking the information of the game.

I revised the colour and the interface design of the All-in bar and the keyboard,

to avoid blocking the information of the game and the player can confirm the amount more easily.

PHASE THREE FINAL DESIGN :

ANIMATIONS :

Demo Animation Effect – Player Win

Demo Animation Effect – Cion Flip When All-in

Demo Animation Effect – Lucky Draw

Demo Animation Effect – Big Win
